Spring: A time to hit refresh and revaluate your life

Spring, fills us with anticipation, of what is coming into our lives. The budding trees, remind us of the eternity of life, as out of dormancy appears magnificence. As the days of winter fade away, we reflect upon our lives, restless to join with the renewal of spring.

With the arrival of songbirds, squirrels, bears and geese, we ponder the patterns of nature, so in sync with the changing seasons. We do not sense any confusion, or contradiction of life within them. These creatures seem to live in faith. We cannot help but envy their sense of belonging.

Spring is a time to sow. What seeds will you plant this year? If past harvests have brought worry, frustration and anger into your life, now is the time to plant seeds of love, joy, and peace. Take time to watch new growth appear. See how, in perfect timing new shoots push up from the earth. There is no urgency, just steady growth. Get in touch with that natural flow of life.

Pull out your New Year's resolutions, find a warm place in the sun and build a plan detailing your action steps for the next few months. Know you will be ready for the season of growth, by taking the time now to create a vision of your desires, during this season of sowing. Your plan doesn't need to be perfect, just yet. Summer provides a time for weeding, watering and transplanting. For now, it is enough to imagine the life you desire, and to plant the feelings of that life deep in your soul.

Spring is a time for new beginnings. Have you made plans to create your life in such a way that you can savor each moment? Create a sanctuary in your yard, a place for dreaming. Surround yourself with new ideas; make new friends with the bees and butterflies. Look for ways to change your schedule to include time to meditate, to feel the rhythm of the earth. As flowers unfold in your garden, see yourself coming into bloom. What special gift do you have that is waiting to unfold? What part of you is laying dormant, waiting for the bright sun of spring to draw you out into the world? This is not the season of hurry, slow down. Do you see squirrels in a rush to store their goods for winter? Do you see geese rushing to fly south again, before the snowfall? You have time to fulfill your desires. Just for today, be at peace, allow the breeze to carry your dreams where they can manifest in their own season.

Be as the birds, the flowers, the trees. Have faith that you will have all that you need. Flow with the beat of nature. Understand that this season is a time for new beginnings to take shape in your thoughts, actions and words. Take time to rest, time to sow, time to grow and time to harvest.
