Home remedies for acne

Acne at any age is an annoyance that a person would rather not have to deal with. The good news is that there are home remedies that can be used instead of those expensive treatments sold in stores. Acne is a skin disorder caused by the hormones on the skins sebaceous glands that leads to the plugging of the pores causing blackheads, whiteheads and cysts commonly known as pimples.

Acne can be on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and even the upper arms. The most chronic skin disease it affect most teenagers but can affect older groups as well. Though not a dangerous health condition it is upsetting and can lead to scarring.

There are items in your own kitchen that can be used in the treating of those annoying pimples. It is important to make sure that you do not have allergies and are not sensitive to any of the ingredients used in home remedies for acne.

There are various packs, and paste that can be made. There are fruits and natural plants that can be used as well; even some of the herbs normally found in the kitchen.

A pack can be made by boiling 50 gm of raspberry, strawberry or blackberry leaves with one and a half liters of water for three minutes. Applying this pack can relieve the itching and sooth the skin.

Yogurt and fine oatmeal can be mixed into a paste and applied to the face. Leave it until it dries and then wash your face with lukewarm water. Pat do not rub dry; when finished apply an antibiotic lotion that corresponds with your skin type.

Soaps and gels made from Aloe Vera are also useful in the healing of acne damage to the skin. Orange peels are also useful in treating acne. Grind them in water to make into a past and put on or around the acne.

Fresh garlic can also be rubbed on and around the acne. Regular applications will help acne to disappear without a mark on the face.

Tea bags can be used as well. Boil two or three tea bags and mix them with dried basil for ten to twenty minutes. Use a cotton ball to apply to the face.

An overnight mask can be made by making a paste of honey and cinnamon powder. Simply sleep in it and wash your face when you wake up. This should be done for two weeks until all of the acne is gone.

Milk and a gram of flour can be used as a skin wash to fight acne. Mild can also be combined with ground nutmeg and left on the face for one to two hours. The acne should be relieved and there should be no visible marking of the face.
