Create your own magnets

Creating your own photographs magnets is easy as pie if you have the right software, an inkjet printer, and a sheet of magnets. These make excellent and unique presents for loved ones far and near.

If you choose to get magnets with your photographs when you develop them you pay an outrageous price, but by creating your own, it can save you bundles of money. You can print magnets with any ink jet computer, I have been doing it for a few years now, and I love it.

The magnets come in a 8 by 11 sheet which is the size of a sheet of printer paper, and you can put several images on sheet of course depends upon the size of the images. This of course is thicker then your average sheet of printer paper so you will have to feed the magnet sheets in one at a time or your printer will jam.

Open your photo editor and print photos as you normally would but instead of photograph paper use a magnet sheet instead to create your own photo magnets. If you do not have photograph-editing software installed on your computer, I suggest getting print shop or print master, both of which allow you to make all sorts of crafts with your photographs.

You can make photograph magnets of normal photograph size, but just think if you made them wallet size, you could get 16 magnets out of this sheet of magnets. What a unique way to display your photos, on anything metal. For your children who have multiple friends and a school locker, you could scan all the photos into your computer and print them off as magnets. This way they are more durable and you do not need to have a roll of tape handy to hang these magnets.

You could create an image in your favorite image-editing program that says something cute like Bobbie's creations, print them off as magnets, and use them to hold up your child's drawings. If you have, multiple young children make them personalized magnets to hold drawings, notes or what ever on your refrigerator.

One year for Christmas, I went through the internet and found some nice quotes of all types. I then went into my print master program, created a sheet of images of those quotes, and printed them off as magnets. The result was many little inexpensive Christmas gifts for co-workers and relatives far away, as they were easy to mail. The idea was a success, I was asked to make special ones for them, and they paid me for those.

When I print off my business cards, I also print off a sheet of magnet cards, so that select clients get magnet business cards. This way they can hang my business card on the refrigerator so if they need a pc tech they do not have to look for my card.

There are many crafts that you can make using a sheet of magnets, people really seem to love them, and they are so easy to make. If you can create and print an image on your computer, you can make personalized magnets.
