The Atlanta Jazz Festival is a diverse music event held in Atlanta, that is based entirely on the jazz concept. This brilliant, yet eclectic music event usually kicks off at the beginning of May and lasts about thirty days. Within the final days of the closing, of the event (towards Memorial Day), a huge event follows, as a result. This event is then usually held for about three days. The Atlanta Jazz Festival has a rather rich history, yet authentic appeal, destined to attract the ultimate jazz enthusiast. This amazingly inspired jazz event is also heavily influenced by art, as well as, culture within the jazz genre. What I love most about this unique, yet jazz inspired event is the fact it is entertaining, yet culturally connected, in a variety of ways that go beyond the standard jazz concept.
Every year the Atlanta Jazz Festival comes up with a theme that appeals to the ultimate jazz lovers demographic. What makes the jazz festival such a great event is the fact it's primarily premise is innovation. Not only does this influential music event provide an array of bands and individual artists that have seniority in jazz, but it provides fresh new talent. For thirty days, jazz musicians, singers, bands, pianists, instrumentalists, and composers frequent an array of Atlanta businesses providing only the best entertainment. These businesses range from restaurants and lounges to clubs and bars, and more. The final, three day event, that follows the thirty day extravaganza, is usually decided by a select panel of individuals. The place that is chosen randomly by individual area and origin, as well as, by extensive history and culture, in relation to the jazz concept.
Atlanta is known for more than being the birthplace of Jimmy Carter and Woodrow Wilson, as well as, Martin Luther King Jr. It is also known for more than just it's industrial and sport scene. In fact, some of America's finest talent has originated from Atlanta. This also includes some world-class jazz musicians that have marked their spot in the music industry, as a result. Some of America's finest jazz musicians and composers have originated from Atlanta. Some of them include: Duke Pearson, Mary Lou Williams, Eddie Chamblee, Rufus Reid, and more. Other America's finest jazz musicians and composers originated from other parts of Georgia. Some of them include: James Moody, Fletcher Henderson, Marcus Printop, Harris James, Ida Cox, and more.
What makes the jazz festival so fluent is not only it's individual respect from the public and vast majority of status quo society that make up the Altanta populous and surrounding areas, but it's individual respect from several large, credible corporations with seniority. The Atlanta Jazz Festival is sponsored by many elite entities that range from Coca Cola, Sheraton Hotels Atlanta, Budweiser Select, and more. This music event is also sponsored by the city, making it much more interesting, as a result. Like many festivals, the Atlanta Jazz Festival provides entertainment that goes beyond just music. This brilliant music event provides an array of vendors, that collaborate, to contribute to your general jazz enjoyment. Most of the time, these individual businesses are a part of a contracted vending company, however; some are contracted separately. These individual vendors range from array of individual entities that cater to food, drink, fine art, jewelry, fashion, and much more. Although, the event is free, like any other festival, there are somethings you have to pay for.
