Poetry: Easter

When I woke up this morning, I saw the sky was blue,
When I woke up this morning, It was Easter day and that's all I knew.

A time to remember what was lost, but now was gained,
In my heart, Jesus on the cross, his legend remained.

Our father, beyond our universe, in the skies above,
Easter brought me to tears, but happiness is all, that I could think of.

Whether you are black, white, yellow, purple, orange, or teal -
Jesus loves us all and that is what is real.

We are the world, we are responsibility -
We love Jesus, as he is a huge part of our history.

The powerful premise that has developed through our lives and in our hearts,
Our inner and outer wisdom, strength, mind, body, and soul, makeup our being, our worth, our individual anatomy parts.

No matter what was found, no matter what was lost,
Everything is sacred, nothing was ever tossed.

Our 5 senses allow us to see what is wrong from right,
Our 5 senses allow us to see the tunnel followed by the light.

If you read the bible, God makes you feel no regret,
To be happy, to be free, and to see, is just so heaven-sent.

So on that in special day, think of it this way,
Remember the good, as you should, because it is Easter Day.
