HOME AT LAST
It was a cloudy day when I arrived in the carriage.
I was supposed to meet my mothers friend who was very sick. It's not easy to travel three hundred miles in a wagon with two horses pulling you.In the 19th century that's how we used to navigate.
Well once we got to the small mansion I was surprised that my mother knew such rich people. I was sadden by my mother's death when it came sudden. She had told me about her friend and said to me you have to go see her so I started my journey. My mothers friend's name was Maria. Upon arrival she came out of her mansion with tears in her eye's. I smiled thinking maybe she was crying because I look like my mother. I approached her and gave her little hug and told her I am Jane. Instantly she said "I know". What I didn't understand was that remark sent shivers up my spine she had said it like she knew me! It was like we had this connection that was invisible. Maria insisted we go inside, coming inside the house of my mothers friend just made me feel like how I would wish of a home like this. Maria sent for tea and fancy biscuits, which were brought in by servants. I for some reason though wasn't to surprised for some reason I thought as if I was in a dream and I was just enjoying myself. She looked at the ground in a way saddened. I told her don't worry I'm here to spend some time with you. My mother always used to tell me about you Maria, then she started to cry. She asked me if I could take her to her room which was two levels upstairs. I did walk her to her room and told her I will see you soon. Now at this time the servants had sent my baggage to my room.
I found my room by looking for my bag. It was a nice room overlooking the green hills in which big oak trees blew their leaves. I said to myself let me nap this trip was tiring. In about an hour I woke to some man's voice which startled me. I walked to the hall way and he looked back with this cold look and didn't say anything. So I went back in my room freshened up and went to see if this man was the man Maria was talking about.
Coming downstairs I saw Maria smiling so wide I felt shy in a way. I told her I hope your feeling well now, she said just by seeing you I will always be better. We smiled at the comment then proceeded to the dinner table. At the
