Self confidence comes to no person naturally. You have to work for it and it is well worth the effort. To begin with, understand that no effort you take in any endeavor is ever wasted. All the effort you put into anything will always return and pay you back, maybe in ways you never thought of.

Lets start with self confidence at the work spot. If you want to become self confidence in this sphere, then do your homework well. Learn about the company well, understand what its skills and expertise is, then see whether you and the skills you have with you will suit the company. Otherwise switch your search to another company where you will be at home. Always understand that when you take on a job that you love, your self confidence will automatically go up and you will feel that you can take on the world - and in some cases you may have to do just that - and come up a winner.

Learn also to dress well. Today there are ready made clothes to suit any body and purse.Gone ar the days when you were at the mercy of the tailor who would then decide what style suited you and stitch your clothes accordingly, never mind that you told him that you did not like his choices. A well dressed person has a distinct advantage over those who are not in the same league. Then if you want to increase your confidence still further trim/tone your body by joining a gym. With the fitness fad now becoming a recognized craze it is not tough to either join a gym or get a personal trainer if you can afford it. When you disrobe at the pool you will be looked at with envy by men for the simple reason you have something that they do not, that is a good body. Nobody told them not to exercise, but you did well and it has its dividends.

Next learn to communicate well with people so that there is no doubt about what you want.As a teacher today I see many professionals who are unable to progress in life above low paying jobs because they do not communicate well in English whereas they will be excellent communicators in their native language. But when they master this art also, then there is no stopping their high and their achievements, because one is linked to the other.

In whatever field you want to excel, make sure you know the rules well, this will give you a head start, because most people do not bother to get this right or understand it properly. When you know the rules, you will not waste time in making and unmaking mistakes. And this will increase your confidence and help you get ahead that much faster. What I have written above needs no special coaching, but just mere common sense. And they are applicable to all people in all countries.
