Understanding the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ

knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.
Mar 15:11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them. Mar 15:12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?
Mar 15:13 And they cried out again, Crucify him. Mar 15:14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.

Point three is correct. Now we are getting to the heart of the matter. from the beginning of time, God had a plan. God knew that sinful man would fall. He gave us a free will and we botched it! When Satan rebelled against God, God knew that in order to redeem mankind, a perfect sacrifice had to be given. After all, God initiated sacrifice at the very beginning of time. The only way to atone or receive forgiveness from sin is through a sacrifice. When you repent of your sin(s), you sacrifice. you give up your old nature and begin anew. There was no other capable of becoming a sacrifice for mankind other than the only Son of God! Jesus, being born into this world of sin as a man and living a sin-free life by doing what was the Father's will, was the only way that God could forgive mankind. Yes, it was the father's will that led Jesus to Calvary! You remember what Jesus asked in the Garden of Gethsemane? Mat 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Mat 26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

And, point four is correct. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. God had the plan and the man.

When Mary and the deciples came to the tomb that third morning, they were coming to attend to and annoint His body. They had no idea that Jesus had rose from the dead. when seeing that the stone had been rolled away, they were afraid that someone had taken the body of their Lord. Now the Romans were quite skilled in the art of crucifixtion, and while they were certain that He was dead, took no chance that anyone would take the body and claim that He had risen. That stone was massive! And, it was most likely sealed by some means to prevent anyone from tampering with it. Imagine the shock, when Mary and the deciples saw what they saw! The irony of this scenario is, that Jesus did not have to have that stone rolled away for Him to arise! It was for our benefit, that we could see into the tomb and see with our own eyes, that He was not there, but risen, just as He had said!

Are you ready? Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner, believe on Him, ask Him to come into you life. Just believe, as a little child, that Jesus was born of a virgin, was crucified for your sins, rose again from the dead on the third day, ascended into Heaven and is coming again as Lord of Lord's and King of King's.
