Ways to express gratitude on a daily basis

care, improved infrastructure and security in your community and the world. This moment of gratitude for exceptional services may in fact, improve those that you now see as less than perfect.

Even harder than paying the bills, is finding the blessings in events that bring pain into your life. Know that sadness and grief are important feelings. Acknowledge the hurt, and appreciate your ability to feel, even when it doesn't feel good. Then find reasons to be thankful in the face of adversity. Did this circumstance make you stronger? Did you learn compassion? Can you see life in a new perspective because of the loss? In your grief, has someone else found peace? These are all things for which to be grateful.

At the end of the day repeat, "Thank you for this day". Take a notebook and list at least five times that you found a reason to be grateful. Reflect upon the difference being appreciative changed your day. How did you show others appreciation? Where could you have shown more appreciation during the day? Did you miss an opportunity to give thanks?

Each moment of your life has room for joy and satisfaction. Find the feeling of gratitude and share it with everyone around you. Smile, laugh, be in awe at the wonders you see. Tell others you appreciate them; send thank you notes, and small meaningful gifts. Take a minute to bless your food, say a prayer for a bountiful garden, and express delight in the beauty around you. There is no point to a life of misery. With less effort, life itself can be a reason to be grateful.
