Review Stream is a website that I heard about some time ago, and bookmarked it on my computer. Though it was always there, I just couldn't bring myself to write for them. $2 for a review doesn't sound like very much, and I thought it would take me far too long to reach their minimum payout of $50. I also knew that many of my articles would probably fall under the bulk rate payment, which is now 40 cents. A few weeks ago I was deleting some obsolete pages from my favorites folder, and found my way back to Review Stream. This time I decided to give things a try, just to see what happened.
I quickly wrote 5 reviews, and received my confirmation emails. I noticed that only 1 of those original reviews was published at the full rate, while the others received bulk payment. I then started writing more often for the site. When I was feeling stressed from doing writing or suffered from writer's block, I would pop out an article for them, and send it off to the site. In about 10 days I had enough money in my account to request payment.
I know that a lot of people have spent weeks, or even months writing reviews before they reached the payout level, but I didn't have that problem. I actually wrote around 10 articles a day for them, on everything around my house and all were published and paid. They tend to pay more for electronics, restaurants, and even cosmetics. I reviewed my laptop computer, cell phone, and even some restaurants I tried in my area.
After reaching my payout, I requested payment by using the email address on their website, and they paid me just a few hours later. Once I requested payment though, I began having a few problems with their site. While they previously accepted reviews of around 200 words, they will now only accept those reviews if I submit them under the bulk rate. I noticed that they were now requiring me to write 400 word articles to receive the $2 payment, and later on that number was raised to 500 words. I actually wrote a review of 470 words, and it was rejected as being too short.
My first experiences with Review Stream were quite good, but now I think it will take me quite awhile to reach my next payment. $2 for 400-500 words just isn't enough for me. I can publish the same review here at Helium, or on Associated Content and receive passive income for years to come. From now on, I will stick to the smaller bulk reviews for their website.
