The poorer nations, must adapt to learning how to cope with global warming. There is potential for developed and developing countries to enhance and/or acquire adaptive capabilities.
The ability of the human systems, to adapt to and cope with climate change depends; on such factors as wealth, technology, education, information, skills, infrastructure, with access to resources and management capabilities. Populations and communities are extremely different in what is empowering their communities, with these attributes, and the developing countries, particularly the least developed countries are now generally poorest in this regard. With this result, they have a lesser capacity to adapt and are more vulnerable to climate change damages, just as they are more vulnerable, to other stresses. Unfortunately, this condition is extreme with the poorest people.
With poverty, depletion of resources, pressure to curtail population growth, the poorer communities and regions are vulnerable to climate change. Policies that force the improvement of management of environmental skills and risks lessens the pressure on resources, increases welfare of the poorest members of society can simultaneously advance development and equity, enhance adaptive capacity, and reduce vulnerability to climate and other stresses.
Vulnerability to climate change can be reduced by implementation of national and international development initiatives to promote equality, equity, and development.
A strategy is necessary, because of the high levels of greenhouse gas emissions, by industrialized nations. The earths orbit determines the similarity and how close the sun is when the most land that is the sun is warming the northern hemisphere. In addition, the odds are quite high that in the end more warming is inevitable given the geological evidence of the past similar glacial/integral cycle, which eclipsed us all about 400, 00 yrs ago.
Human and Natural systems will to some degree adapt autonomously to climate change, but unfortunately those with the least resources have least capacity to adapt and are most vulnerable.
Poor nations are bearing the brunt of global warming, have become increasingly bold in un-led climate talks, but some worry that recent meetings of large countries as pushing poorer nations voices aside.
A report by a worlds leading climate scientist warned drought floods and storms would increase as global temperatures rise hitting poorer countries hardest.
