Poetry: Fresh air

This is amazing
I can't believe it
For this makes me sing
It ain't the pits
Nope, this is a joy
What is it you say?
My wife had a boy
it happened just today.
The boy was hanging by his feet
The doctor slaps him, no mean feat
the baby gasps after a five second scare
Then the boy decided to gasp
It was his first breath of air.
I didn't hand out cigars, no I wouldn't dare
I didn't want to pollute my sons fresh air.
