First of all, make sure you provide the original, helpful content to people, also the search engine.

You can start to optimize your site now. The title is the most important part for search engine, you MUST present your keywords here. Then optimize your inbound links, put the right words & phrases(Yes,the keywords that you want to get the top rank with!) on your links. OK, you don't need to do anything else to optimize your site now. The ect, not that important. Because both people and search engine love unique content!

Next, make others link to your site. Buy links on high pr sites, not banners. And the link text must be the keywords. Also launch your reciprocal links campaign, although it is not as effective as before.

Now some of your pages may rank well, and some are not. Ignore those pages that not rank well, add new pages to your site. Make your site fresh. If you constantly do this, more and more pages of your site will rank well!
