Located just a few hundred kilometers from the Brazilian coast, you can find an astonishing archipelago made up of 21 amazing Island, called Fernando de Noronha.

The Portuguese conquered the Island in 1700, then they built forts in strategic points so English and French couldn't disembark there. The biggest fort is Fortaleza Nossa Senhora dos Remedios, located in Vila dos Remedios which is a nice place to visit. After that,they started to send prisoners to the Island which was the reason why they destroyed most of the vegetation in there.

If you are looking for the perfect place to dive, you have just found it. The archipelago is a place with crystal clear water. Even if you are 40 meters deep in the ocean, you can still see a wonderful variety of colorful fish and crustaceans. There are fully prepared teams of professional divers who can help and teach you if it is your first time.

If you are the kind of person who prefers to stay on the surface, don't worry! There are plenty of activities for you, like boat trips, which take you all around the Island, and during the trip, you can see dolphins following the boat and jumping playfully.

Another thing that you can't leave without taking is a sightseeing trip all over the Island with a tourist guide, which goes to all the most important beaches, where you can swim or just look at them, depending on the beach rules.

For those who enjoy waking up early, you can see hundreds of dolphins entering the bay everyday at 5am.

You can also watch the turtles laying their eggs on the beach or you can see the enormous quantity of different birds. What is more, you can see a lot of colorful fishes swimming in a wonderful blue ocean.

Some places don't have easy access, so people have to walk along some trails so, I highly recommend bringing a pair of tennis shoes. You will also sometimes need a bottle of mosquito repellent. And never forget to use a lot of sunscreen otherwise you will get the worst sunburn.

It is hard to choose which of the sixteen Fernando de Noronha's beaches is the most incredible. So, the only way you can find out this, is by visiting this unforgettable place yourself!
