in the Middle East, still; he has said as much. He will continue to give tax breaks to wealth and greed, perpetuating corporate welfare at the expense of laboring classes at home and abroad.
Hillary Clinton, though adroit at political maneuvering and fighting for what she wants, will continue American arrogance and domination of the planet to our own failing as good neighbors to others around the world, continuing the increasing hate and resentment and making us the continued target of animosity from our allies and enemies.
Barack Obama will win the Democratic nomination, ultimately, having defeated Hillary's onslaught of political attacks and cheap shots. Next, he will face the Republican Party's onslaught of hate, fear, subterfuge, clouding of real issues, red herrings, exploitation of religious and patriotic ploys to try to perpetuate our current world and national mission of wealth and power for the few, to the detriment of the many.
America can change our mission, our image, our future, and our lives for the better. They will make that decision in November. I believe America will see through all the rhetoric and animosity and correct their mistake of electing George W. Bush as president almost eight years ago. I believe in the collective intelligence of American voters, not to get it right always, but to correct their mistakes, eventually. That is why I believe in America, the American people, American democracy, and the American way. I hope I am not disappointed in November.
Imagine an America, who is respected for our actions and attitudes toward other nations; a nation of power that doesn't abuse that power, a nation of wealth acquired not by exploiting others, but by lifting up all people, who labor and toil for decent wages in decent facilities; a nation who tolerates and even embraces differences and diversity with respect. It won't be accomplished overnight and it won't be accomplished easily, but as a mission statement, it is an admirable goal. It can happen, and I believe it will happen, and soon, or we will continue on our current mission to our own eventual destruction, which could come more quickly than we ever imagined possible.
