What happened with "being yourself"?

What ever happened with "being yourself?" The Apostle Paul in the book of first Corinthians chapter 13:11, "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things." Some people have a harder time putting away childish behavior even into adulthood. This post modern society is filled with instant gratification.

A popular television commercial portrays a man watching his television set. Suddenly, his television set begins to lose it's reception. "Honey, the man addresses his wife, you are right we need a new television set." Then the man goes to Rent a Center and buys a larger more expensive television. The back ground music is, "I want it all, I want it here and I want it now!" The slogan repeats itself throughout the entire commercial.

He will no longer have to impress his disciples by logical reason. He will understand all of the perplexities of his adventuresome human existence when he has his face to face homecoming meeting in Paradise!

What ever happened to judging our selves for our own motivations? "For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged." If we held ourselves accountable for our acts of commission and omission, others would not have to call them to our attention. What are sinful actions of commission?

Acts of commission are deeds that you willfully commit even knowing their adverse circumstances on you and every one involved in your sphere of influence. For example if you are a married couple and you engaged in the once popular pastime of wife and husband swapping your martial relationship, what began as a recreational activity would t complete destruction of your marriage. You would shortly find yourself in the process of
