A Poet's Confession
A flash of idea sparked in my poet's mind -
A train of thought swiftly flew by.
Yet I found it hard to capture
All those mental bits and pieces.
Deep inside though, I believe
That on a piece of paper I shall be
Able to guide my eager pen
In effecting a myriad of words
Cascading into a smooth flow of prose
That may leave a distinct mark
To someone who upholds its meaning.
I wanted to write everything
That bubbles out of the depth of my being
A word, a phrase, a thought
Should ever be explored.
Never shall my day end
without scribbling a paragraph or two-
A poem or a haiku.
To some, writing may be a reason for dying
But for me, not to write
Is to die a million times more.
