How children learn

There is no better thing we as adults can do, than to teach a child something, and no better experience than watching their little eyes light up, and to see them "get it". Children learn in their own time, and at their own pace, but there are usually some set ways as to how they learn. Aside from them asking tons of questions, there are a few other ways, that you may or may not have thought about. Let's take a look now, at some of the ways that children learn.

Through their five senses

Sight - Kids learn a lot through sight. They watch how adults do things, and try to copy them. They also learned by reading, and writing, of course, and that is also by sight, but one of the most effective ways to teach kids, is by telling them to watch you, and then having them do what you do.

Touch - Children also learn by touch. If they are nearing something dangerous, such as a hot stove, their sense of touch will warn them, and help to make sure that they stay safe. Another way a child can learn through touch is by feeling the safe, worm, and loving touch of a parent, close family member, or friend, such as hug of a kiss.

Hearing - Kids learn different thing through hearing they hear what you say to them, and others, and also about them, and others. So make sure that when are trying to teach them you use age appropriate words, and attitudes. They also learn a great deal of their language skills through hearing as well.

Taste Kids also learn by tasting. Pickles as you may know are sour, Candy is sweet, these are things that we as adults know, but we had to have learned them at some point. We
probably as also learned a lot of our likes, and dislikes form taste too. So actually the sense of taste might keep your kids out a little bit of trouble.

Smell - the sense of smell is also another way that kids learn from. It also can keep them out of danger, by them smelling something such as cleaners, bleaches, or smoke from a fire the sense of smell will warn kids to stay away.

Through play-Kids learn a lot through play, how to deal with others, how to share, and how to take turns.
Children are also great imitators, they also learn from, and copy what the main adults, in their lives do and say.

I hope that this article, has some how helped you realize how kids learn, don't forget to have fun.
