Red, Gold, Green, and Blue
Threads intricately woven through and through
Worn, tattered, and bruised
Love was given, sought, and renewed
On the cushion near the window
Where the sun warmed the lap, the heart, and lines of the face
In the flame-stitch pattern of our youth
Comfort was sought, and found
Life was shared in comfort
Where you listened, and loved with repose
