My life was transformed in a supernatural way and the powerful things I learned are for the transforming of all our lives. It shows us the mysteries of God and the power to overcome all things.

In August 1990, a man I knew was sent to me by God. He was told what I would be wearing, where I would be standing and what I would say, to prove to him that it was from God. He was told to tell me about his wife. She had gone to the hospital for a tooth problem and she was dying. The Lord said, "Anoint her with oil and release her to Me." He asked the nurse if she had oil and she responded that she had lotion. He reasoned that lotion was oil based and he anointed his wife and released her to the Lord. He went into the hall, and he said, the Lord slapped him hard in the face, and said sternly, "I said with oil." He did and she died.

That was a transforming time for me. I believed God answered prayer; but I didn't know God spoke to people. I realized that if God loves someone enough to speak to them and then would slap them hard in the face for a logical act, He was very serious about His word.

I started going to church, but some of the things I was hearing did not meet that level of "He said it and He meant it". I determined to follow the Bible from the beginning and believe it was to be followed until He said to change it. God was specific from the beginning that we follow His word and be blessed and go aside from it and bad things would happen. I could see where I went wrong in my past and I could see the answers people were looking for about God. Leviticus 26 has been a scripture I tell most people about, saying, if you believe that, you know the past, the present and the future.

Applying that same principle that God is serious about His word, I could see that none of the religions calling themselves Christian were following God's word through Jesus; and neither was any other religions following the word God He gave to their prophets. It was surprising to me to read the English translation of the Qur'an and find that the central message, repeated in many ways, was to follow the whole Bible. That lined up with what Jesus said, when he said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4) and also agreed with what God said about His word, "You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish ought from it that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."
