One's Wonder of Winter
Awaiting outside, serenely on the ground
A clear canvas of snow has been falling
Off in the distance, a muffled voice is heard
You have to wait til tomorrow, mother is calling
Sitting idly by the window with disdain
Night sets, an inevitable visit from Jack Frost
Laying in wait atop the front of the lawn
A plethora of potential snowballs to be tossed
Bundle thyself up with winter's toasty fashions
And prepare to go out gallivanting
The crisp morning air quickly takes its toll
Post haste you'll be red cheeked and panting
Not another child is within eyes sight
And to the very bone you're chilled
But this particular snowfall is special
It can be packed, a snowman you can build
Using only imagination as a guide
A snow fortress should easily be erected
With plenty of time to spare for shopping
With the Christmas spirit you've been infected
Sage advice lingers in your mind and heart
Tis better to give than to receive
Doing good deeds works in patterns cyclical
In that you just have to believe
So go on out and play
Allow yourself to become beguiled
Cherish each and every day
As if you were still a child
Ask any adult that will listen
And I guarantee that person remembers
More than just a little fondly
Of each of their past Decembers

NICE
Making your way in life, it's nice
To know you can, once or twice
Rely on other people in a trice
For assistance, guidance
I've never had a Christmas of white
There's never been a snowy night
The winter feels like summer
In the Southern American
by Ethel Smith
A white Christmas,
it seems to me,
no longer exists
for you and for me,
unless you live
in a foreign clime
where there's snow on
THE MIRACLE OF WINTER
When all the leaves have fallen
And the sun has slipped away,
When the ground is fully covered
In fields
