She's faced much darkness in her life,
Hounded by confusion and strife,
Ripped apart by shame's sharp edged blade,
By guilt's accusations laid,
Her life is empty and forlorn,
As on her heart burdens are borne;
She has sought for relief in a glass,
Trying to hide feelings that last.
O come now Higher Power,
Visit her this very hour!
Come now from addiction set her free
Lead her now on to victory,
Take her from the darkness I pray,
Transfer her into the light today,
Here now tranquility may she find ,
Give her inner peace of mind.
