Which actress would make the best friend?

by Erin Yarrobino

I will admit it. Whenever I hear the word celebrity, I automatically begin some not-nice thoughts. I have never thought of the general celebrity to be a nice person. Celebrities often say two different things whenever one is convenient for them. One minute it is, "I wish my supporters would leave me alone. I might be an actor/singer, but I am a person just like them. I want to be in solitary and have the privacy of an ordinary person." On the other hand, while waiting in line, at a restaurant, at a gym, or waiting to go into a club, all you hear is, "Do you know who I am? I am _fill in the blank_. I am better than those "regular people because I have lots of money, wealth, and power. I am above the law and any rules." These celebrities think that because they have money for personal trainers, limousines, private jets, managers and agents, they are entitled to more than us regular people. Celebrities just think they are better than you and I, and do not care who they disrespect.

Most celebrities I know of fit into this category. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule. One celebrity who fits into that is Jennifer Love Hewitt. I have only seen one of Jennifer's movies, and have never seen any of her television shows, but I have seen plenty of celebrity interviews featuring her. I have not met her, but I do not believe you have to meet someone to truly know who they are. Jennifer seems like one of the most down-to-earth people you could ever meet. For this reason, she does not fit the bill of being a true celebrity, but in a good way. She seems like someone who is very approachable; who you could simply walk up to and say, "I really like your program or movie. I say you are a terrific actress." She has said she has plenty of friends who are not in show business, and while this is true of other celebrities, she says it in a believable way. This is one person who is truly dedicated to viewers of her projects and the people who allow her career to be what it is (besides herself).

Jennifer never seemed to be that typical airhead teen actress. She always seemed very fulfilled in her life, with alot of depth, not shallowness. She takes her acting very seriously, and is still able to lead a moral life while in the paparazzi glare. How often do we hear of her shenanigans at late-night bars and clubs, driving drunk, or doing a ton of drugs and spending eight hours in jail or rehab? Never. My point proven.
