As much as i love my father, there are just some things that I can not talk to him about. it is for that reason that I personally, find it is easier to communicate with my mother and not my father.
I can always talk to my dad about finances or questions about my house and cars, but when it comes down to the more personal aspects of my life and relationships, it is easier for me to communicate with my mother.
One of the reasons that I believe that it is easier for me to communicate with my mother, is because as a women it is much easier for me to relate to another women. I know that as a women my mother has experienced many of the same issues that I am sometimes faced with.
Another reason that I believe that it is easier for me to communicate with my mother, is because of the very close bond that we share together. When I was a child, my dad spent a lot of time away from home.
He was a truck driver and often times his job required that he go out of town, sometimes it would be for weeks at a time. Because my dad was away a lot of the time, my mother and I formed a very close relationship with one another.
Because of the fact that we are so close I knew that as a child growing up, I could always go to her if I needed to talk to her about absolutely anything without having to worry about her judging me.
Another reason as to why I find that it is easier for me to communicate with my mother as opposed to my father, is because she has never shied away from any question that I may have asked her.
I know that there are certain aspects of my life that my father would just as soon pretend does not exist, my sex life with my husband is a good example of one of those things. He obviously knows that my husband and I am intimate because we have two beautiful daughters, but I am sure that he prefers not to be involved in it.
My mother on the other hand, understands that there are certain questions that I might need to ask about regarding that aspect of my life. It is for those reasons that I find that communicating with my mother is easier than with my father.
