The street children as a new social identity,developed in the modern society,is different than the same group of street children ,raised in 1900 period.

In the period of industrialization , the children exploitation in all fields (mining ,agriculture,construction,rail roads)was a common custom . The entrepreneurs used to recruit the poor street children,to have big profits.

The number of children living on the streets is increasing in many countries.South America,India seems to have the largest number of children living on streets.

In the United States,this social phenomenon was a concern for the last 50 years.At the beginning,the Church tried to bring under their care these street children.The financial resources to develop an efficient system,was the most important obstacle in finding the solution for solving this pernicious social calamity.
The orphanages,foster homes,children's home connected to the different Christian denominations,are in the insufficient number,poor regulated and many times inappropriate environment.

It's time to think about the practical,realistic and efficient solutions for the street children.To find solutions ,we have to identify the causes which generate the street children.
First cause is the financial burden of the family with many children living on the fix income,usually provided by father.The lack of minimal living conditions,creates a push from home to the street.
The parents preoccupied with the daily concerns,don't have time to claim the missing child during the day time.Later when this child finds conditions of acceptance offered by gangs or other anti social groups,the runaway teenager, cut the connections with the family.The penetration in the anti laws world,opens the door for the easy life,drug use,in and out of the jail facility.
These children quit the school,resulting in no interest for a qualified profession .They are very easy target for pimps,sexual abusers,gangs activity,drug abuser and future status of homeless.

Second,the runners from home,due to the internal conflicts,parents divorce,cohabitation with the new parent's girlfriend or boyfriend.The frequent cause for leaving the home is physical abuse by the parents.Being on alcohol or drug use,the parents don't have the capacity of care for the needs of their children.The bruises,unkempt attires,poor personal hygiene of the children,withdrawal behavior,no interest in school
