When you go to the store to get your new computer you have doubts about what is the best model and if you are paying the right price for it. Do not worry, everyone worries about the same. Read my guide to make a more intelligent choice for your next purchase.

For a new computer do never buy the most expensive one. The price is too exagerated compared to what it offers. Companies want to have big profits so they raise the money you need to spend on order to get their latest product. Also because of production costs reduction in long term, you should always wait a little longer before getting the best type of processor or graphic card or any other computer or computer component. Always go for the second or third best one.

The same is true for computer bags. I bet you like to show or brag about your new computer bag that you bought for 400$ or more, but unless you are a rich guy, you could get the same bag for 40$.

When choosing the computer processor dont choose the fastest available. I would pick the Intel Core 2 Duo at 2.0 Ghz. It is fast enough for the price asked and you will have a good machine for about a year.

When picking the RAM get 2 GB or maybe for specially if you are thinking about running Windows Vista on it. This new operating system is really heavy and slow in computer with not enough RAM. I got only 1 GB for my new laptop and I am having real trouble just using it to surf the internet.

Get the fastest hard disk you can even if it's not the biggest one. A slow hard disk makes you processor and RAM obsolete more quickly since they have to wait until the disk finds the right file at the right place. To see how fast a disk is look at the RPM and at the Buffer. The higher the RPM and the Buffer the faster it will be.

The mother board has little impact in the system performance, however it's a key component to the system stability so invest in a good one but not the most expensive. If you do not know all the technical specifications of it, I recommend you to check on Google a review for that particular model. Websites with Adsense are very glad to provide you with that information
