Here in the Western world, we take so many things for granted and to be quite honest, we have never had it so good. This in itself is a global concern.
Now with the threat of a recession and various foods becoming a shortage, the average household is starting to pull its belt in as regards price increases on foods they buy regularly such as bread, milk and meat and they are changing their shopping habits to find the cheapest, thus putting pressure on other supermarket chains to find more competitive places to stock their shelves, to keep the consumer happy.
My dad who is now a pensioner called me the other day and said he was absolutely shocked to find that the loaf of bread he has normally brought shot up in price to well over a pound (we will in England).
