If you are really looking to enjoy nature at it's finest. It has to be from a tent! There really isn't any other way to enjoy the great outdoor's. As it's meant to be experienced, and enjoyed.
Theres no question that an RV is more comfortable. But thats not why I'm in the forest in the first place. The reason I love to go camping is to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I don't want, or need all the comforts of a "home on wheels" to do that. I'm there to be in nature. To experience nature as it's meant to be enjoyed. Naturally, and you can't do that sitting inside an aluminum box.
I want to be able to hear the birds and the scurrying of wildlife in the brush. Feel the wind blowing through my hair. Sit around the campfire and enjoy a great cup of coffee with my friends. Sit back and watch the stars. In the beautiful, crisp night air. Or watch the sun come up or the moon go down. Absolutely spectacular! None of these however. Can be done while sitting in your RV watching the TV. Or listening to music, and thats just for starters!
Think about this, if you will. If I'm using a tent and I find a beautiful spot while hiking. I just go back to my campsite, and break down my tent. Pack my gear, and move right in! Not to mention the fact. That I don't have to be concerned about parking. Having a source of electricity. Or any of the other things I came out there to get away from. In the first place!
Now. Some people want to call this, "roughing it". I myself like to call it. Absolute bliss! There is no real comparision between an RV or a tent. If your really there to experience the thrill of nature. Nature just can't be experienced the way it should be. Sitting on your duff in the RV. I'm out there to enjoy my time in the wild. Not to be walled off by insulation and aluminum.
Now, On to the really important things. There is nothing more romantic than sitting around the campfire with your sweetheart. Having a glass of wine. Or whatever is your prefence, and talking about your life, and your children. Great moments of the past. Or even your plans for the future. The list of things you can think on. Meditate and discuss, are absolutely endless!
You have a sense of freedom, happiness, and adventure. You probably haven't had since you were a kid, and it just isn't the same in an RV. I've tried both on many occasions. But I all ways come back to the tent. Maybe it's something to do with my childhood, I'm not sure. But when someone say's, Let's go Camping. I grab up my tent, and sleeping bags. Coleman stove and lanterns. Rod and reels or rifle, and I'm usually the first one out the door. In all truth my friend's. It just dosen't get any better than that!
