It was revealed following a murder case here in Britain that a young boy and girl were attacked by a group of teenagers for being different.They weren't a different colour or race but simply dressed differently,in this case in goth clothes.The teenage gang attacked the boy but when the girl intervened she was attacked.Both ended up seriously ill in hospital where the girl died.The attacked couple were dressed in black and had earing's,that was about the extent of the difference between them and their attackers.A phrase reported;y used by one attacker was "lets get the weirdos"

Although racism and sexism is bad it would be more realistic for the actions,an obvious difference.Different clothes and a taste in music is as pathetic as it gets.Many racists are either brought up to hate other races or are reacting to things around them,still wrong but an excuse that is used.The teenagers case has no excuse.I wear clothes sometimes bearing logos and pictures of bands I like ,I don't care what others think and I don't think many care what I am wearing.I am not in a special tribe,I don't wear war paint and am not in an attacking army and neither were these kids.

Enjoy the right to be different or equally choose to be the same but let the individual choose for themselves.If you like one band and not another so what,if you want to wear fashion clothes or ripped jeans so what,if boys want to wer make up so what.Nobody should be dictated to in any way or told they are wrong in what they choose.

One culprit in the dictating is fashion magazines telling girls mainly how they should look,hat to wear and how thin to be,everyone should be able to decide for themselves without corporate brainwashing.Just because a TV star or pop star wears something then the fans should have the sense to choose if they want to mimic a band or not,perhaps even follow a trend without falling in head first.

Another thing in this line is smoking ,drinking and drugs.I wonder how many users of the three things do it because others do,sometimes others who make it look glamorous when of course its not.Many top musicians and writers will credit drugs for some of their best work but it doesn't mean fans have to do the same to enjoy the output.
