US ELECTIONS 2008: WHY REPUBLICANS MAY FEEL SORRY FOR HILLARY CLINTON

Why would they feel sorry for Hillary? They don't, that's a sham to the nth degree. They neither feel sorry for her nor like her in any way, shape or form and most assuredly they have no intention of helping her get elected in the end.

Barrack Obama is who they fear the most, whether warranted or not it is he they do not wish to face in the general elections. He represents something conservatives fear more than anything else. He is both charismatic and young, bringing with him a sense of change. He has the ability to sway those republican voters that may be disenchanted by the current administration or dislike John McCain for his questionable support of conservatives.

Hillary with all her political savvy will never be able to sway enough republicans to win in the general election. Republicans know that if it comes down to McCain and Clinton, McCain wins. It is easy to see this when you look at the number of people in these two candidates own parties, who not only dislike them, but despise them enough to vote the other side in the general election.

Conservative republican poster girl Ann Coulter has stated on numerous occasions if McCain wins the GOP she will not only vote for, but also campaign for Hillary Clinton. She may not have the clout of Rush Limbaugh but she does command a considerable audience in both the public and private sectors.

Also, we cannot forget childish manner Hillary conducted herself when she accused the press of being bias for Obama. I do feel the liberal press took it easier on him; their reasons may have been motivated from the politically correct fever that seems to plague liberals, or from her personality and demeanor. Either way, she should never have made a scene at the debate; it was poor diplomacy and left a bad taste in the mouth of many voters, and she broke one of the cardinal rules of campaigning: she whined on national TV.

Rush's vote for Hillary scam is just that, a scam. He will turn around when the final democrat is chosen, along with all the other conservative media. This is nothing more than a ploy to get the match-up they want and can win.

They will have a much harder time beating Obama than Clinton, and trying to either sway the vote in a way that helps them, or keep it close and ugly enough to split the Democratic Party. It may seem like some clandestine plot from a Tom Clancy novel, but do not doubt it for a minute. The Republican Party was responsible for the Swift Boat Captains for Peace in the last election, and has no trouble getting its hands dirty.

Any party with the audacity to pay for that kind of smear campaign based on total and complete fabrications will be more than pleased to sway an election for the other party. They have used fear, falsified information, and mislead the people with their bought and paid for news network and talk radio smut dealers. They have made a point to deem homosexuality a sin, yet their own party is ripe with officials and supporters that seek same sex encounters. They claim no responsibility for any wrong they do, and take away our rights in the guise of security.

Truly, we cannot deny the way corporations now control nearly all the radio stations. The son of former Secretary of State Colin Powell, Michael Powell, was appointed the head of the FCC. Soon after his appointment he removed a law put in place back in the early days of radio. This law was a way to protect us from having our media in any given area, under the control of corporate interests, thereby preventing anyone from controlling and perhaps limiting or tampering with the news. In a nutshell it allowed companies to own only a set amount of media in a given area.

This was a way of preventing another William Randolph Hearst situation; where from the early 1900's to 1951 one man controlled nearly all the newspapers in America. This gave him the ability to manipulate public opinion on virtually any subject.

By eliminating this law, Michael Powell opened the doors for Fox and Clear Channel to own nearly all the news in both radio and TV. Ever wonder why there are so few liberal talk radio shows these days? Or why the different news networks report the same story with completely opposite points of view? Watch CNN for five minutes then watch FOX for the same amount and see for yourself.

I am neither liberal nor conservative, and by that I mean; I am liberal on some issues and conservative on some. Neither side has nor will ever have all the answers for anyone, period. This is the very reason we need more than one party.

When we see things like Rush Limbaugh telling republicans to vote for Hillary remember, it is nothing more than a political machine at work. It is nothing but a scam to grease the rails for their own gain. Just as democrats (who are not above getting dirty by any means) all turn and blame lost elections on the 1-2 percent vote Ralph Nader took from their democratic nominees. If 1-2 percent can swing your election; you have bigger problems than Ralph Nader to think about.

When faced with inconsistencies such as this, remember the words of Virgil, the classical Roman poet; "Timeo Danaos et dona ferentis" or in English, "I fear Greeks even when they bear gifts".
