The dangers of mold to health

I am an asthmatic and here is my story.
It was a long time ago, over 35 years, and I was hospitalized with asthma as a child. With a move out of the city to the High Desert, I have pretty much been asthma free. I felt healed and healthy. Because I have had no real asthma symptoms in years and was living the good life and I didn't realize the horror I had waiting for me as my bedroom recently developed a life-threatening case of mold.
For normal lungs, mold can be terrible. A person can develop all sorts of issues from cold and bronchitis symptoms to a severe case of memory loss. Rashes can show up, coughs are persistent and mold symptoms can leave a healthy person feeling down right lousy.

I have been sick now for two months. My lungs have not healed. The doctors have said that it could be months before my respiratory tract is back to normal. I have been in and out of the hospital three times now, and the last time I was in two days with a possible heart attack diagnosis. All these things are all because of mold.
It all started with a rainy winter season. We had a new set of french doors installed in our bedroom. They were beautiful. Then the rains came. For about a month I had noticed wetness on our bedroom floor, but I couldn't really tell where it was coming from. I called the contractor and we decided to keep an eye on things and that possibly it was such a powerful wind with the rain, there would have been no keeping the water out anyhow. Because of the extreme cold, the water eventually dried up and we never noticed mold. We also never knew that we had water leaking in our bedroom two other times from the rain. Our first problem was our extremely thick carpet and carpet pad, It kept us sheltered from feeling most the wetness. Then the warmth arrived and the rain stopped. I wanted to relish in the sun and decided to expose my room to the many rays of the sunlight. By that time I had cold symptoms for two weeks along with migranes and the warmth is what I craved. The natural heat was incredible. And then it began. Within days, a slight mildew scent hovered over my room. I kept complaining to my husband but he doesn't have the smell sensitivity that I do. I can smell a flower or litter box from the other side of the house. I kept on complaining. About a week later, my husband smelt it. Once you smell mildew, it is too late. The mold is there and you must take precautions right away. My husband had decided at that time to put
