It's always refreshing to look around at girls today and see that they've decided to go makeup free. They always look fresh faced, innocent and beautiful when they decide to just go with the natural look. However, when we do take the time to add just a touch of makeup, it can make our already beautiful faces look more finished and refined.

When I talk about applying and wearing makeup, I don't mean makeup that has been caked on so thick that you can see it from a distance away, or makeup that is so bright that it could pass as stage makeup. I'm talking about makeup that has been applied correctly and in the correct places to just cover up the imperfections that might appear on one's face. Imagine your favorite female celebrity. Right now you are picturing Charlize Theron looking amazing on the cover of a magazine, but she doesn't always look like that. Makeup coverage used correctly has given her that amazing glow and covered up all of her imperfections. The same applies to the models that we admire every day. Without some help from makeup, some of the most popular models would look like average girls who work accounting jobs. This is the same for all of us! We can be beautiful without makeup, but when we do take the time to wear it we are even better looking and more stunning.

A light foundation can be used to cover up the rings from a bad night's sleep, cover acne that may be covering your forehead and even make your skin coloring look better in dark clothing! Good foundations even contain sunscreen and vitamins to help protect your face from further damage. Mascara and eyeliner can make our boring eyes pop and draw attention to them. Blush can make our cheek bones look fuller, even a light colored eye shadow can make our eyes look brighter and us look more awake.

We all know that our significant others love us know matter what we look like and they tell us this all of the time, but I'm sure we can all agree that when we add a touch of makeup our loved ones give us just a few more compliments and tell us how beautiful we are just a bit more than if we weren't wearing any makeup.
