Poetry: Appreciate your life

My Life is a Journey

The journey of life is not always easy
The road blocks are sometimes many
So many forks in the road we encounter
Choices to be made at each crossroads

We are made up of so many things
Molded by those who cross our path
Our direction in life never certain
The map of life is so vague

Our views sometimes clouded with judgment
The journey can be long and tiresome
To make the most of this life I see
I need not travel it alone and lost

The answer written in the stars
The road of life paved with gold
If you share it with those you love
The journey becomes more sweet

The journey is made up of the little things
A smell and a touch of one so close
The comfort of ones company so true
Make the journey with anticipation

Cherish the hills and the curves
Rest on the straight and narrow path
Enjoy the priceless journey of life
There is only one to travel.
