It is clear to me that some of my conservative and republican friends do in fact feel a little bit sorry for Hillary. However, I don't believe it's for the obvious reasons.

The Obvious reasons would be, of course, her supposed fall from grace in the light of the Obama fascination, and her apparent inability to ensure her campaign does not flub key issues. As a conservative, I love it when Hillary flubs things (Bosnia anyone) and I love that she is actually going to have to campaign with something substantive to combat the vagaries of the Obama camp. As anyone who understands liberal thought processes understands, being specific to the American people presents a problem. American's, despite their complacency and lack of participation in the political process, understand that the left is trying to move them ever closer to some type of socialist panacea and tend to vote in the opposite direction once the specific nature of a candidates ideology becomes clearly at odds with their own

I think where many of us on the right side of the aisle may feel some empathy towards the Senator from New York is in the way the Media has essentially turned on her campaign. We should all recall the Hollywood and Media ties that the Clinton's collectively used prolifically, and flaunted and rewarded some of them with overnight stays in the Lincoln Bedroom. Notice I said empathy. Conservatives and Republicans alike are hyper aware of how the Media can turn on you when your agenda no longer meets theirs. Look at John McCain, as soon as the media had him em-placed as the default Republican candidate for president, he can't buy positive press coverage any longer. Yet we see no articles on why liberals feel sorry for Mr. McCain. We see no "weeping and gnashing of teeth" that the political dialog in this country is between two examples of Far Left ideology gone horribly wrong.

In the end, Mrs. Clinton will have to win a war with Obama based in the realm of substantive, concrete ideas. As this is an area in which the Liberal Senator is lacking some experience it has shown to be, as expected difficult for her. And while she is starting to roll out more specific plans in an attempt to combat Senator Obama's vagaries for change, the press is just not covering her as the did when they thought she was a winner.

In short, for this writer at least, my empathy arises from something which The Clinton's had not really had to deal with before, lack of attention.
