Why anyone, Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians or Rastafarians, should feel sorry for Hillary Clinton is ridiculous. She's had a fabulously lucky and prosperous public life so far. Even if she fades into the oblivion after her valiant attempt to become the first woman President, she's experienced more success than any woman in the history of American politics. Imagine the aged Hillary sitting by the fire, surrounded by loving grandkids, and muttering, "Yes, my children, I was the first woman who almost made it to the White House twice. By the way, did any of you see Grandpa Bill sneak out the back door tonight?"
Hillary, a brilliant lawyer in her own right, still can count herself fortunate to have hooked up with Bill Clinton. Many people believe if it hadn't been for her husband's conning of the Democrats in 1992 and 1996 into nominating him for President, Hillary's life would have been far different. If Bill hadn't made it to the White House, most likely, her enemies snicker that right now she'd be chasing ambulances with Bill in Little Rock.
Later, after Bill's White House years, she was clever enough to get New York State voters to make her a Senator, and give her the opportunity to spend much of her time running for President for the past four years. It could be considered by some jokesters that what the current and recently disgraced New York Governors did to their marriage vows, Empress Hillary did to the voters of the Empire State.
When she assumed the First Lady role in the White House in 1992, Hillary attempted to introduce a universal health plan to Congress. They made fun of her slogan, "It takes a village to raise a child", which emerged amid the scandal-ridden Clinton administration. Instead of addressing the real need that it takes a married mother and father to raise a child, traditional American family units were disintegrating quickly into casual shack-ups and abandonment of family responsibilities for children.
With the help of a lot of Hollywood and Democrat Party hangers-on and professional speech writers, Hillary has so far managed to survive to the party's Final Two in her Presidential bid. And, just when her appeal was starting to fade, she got lucky again. Videos emerged of Barack Obama's buddy-buddy preacher for the past 20 years spouting brain-numbing anti-White hate, and Barack's duh explanations put Hillary's campaign back on track.
Now, the campaign soap opera has changed again, and Mrs. Clinton's campaign train slowed almost to a stop when she fibbed about surviving sniper fire on a visit to Bosnia in 1996. Although, in the long history of Clinton problems, it was a relatively minor example, it could have emphasized the fact that the Empress was wearing no clothes.
