Acne

Usually acne is caused by glands, located at the bottom of hair follicles, generating too much oil into the pore. Too much oil, even though the oil is necessary for the skin, and it forms hard surfaces over the pore, blocking it, and forming a pimple. If the pimples break under the skin, they can develop into small bacterially infected areas. Hormonal imbalances cause the overproduction of oil in the skin, which is common in adolescence, particularly males. Goldenseal, when used as an antimicrobial, can stop oozing pores. Many times outbreaks of acne occur because of a slow liver; if it's not operating at its best, someone's liver won't be able to clear excess hormones. When someone suffering from acne is working on clearing it up, they should also focus on cleansing their liver.
