Poetry: Faith

by Ricky Crone

Created on: March 27, 2008

He waived his hand over the land
and the sun came tumbling down
with a velvet veil of ebony
like a blanket he covered the ground

He winked an eye that filled the sky
with a million stars abound
lighting up the Heavens
like diamonds in a crown

Then he gave the night to lovers
as he spread it all around
fear not the coming darkness
for my love shall be thy shroud
