"Turning Points in Life"
There are so many Turning Points in Life, but I am going to write about some that are very close to "Our Hearts".
Our children were grown and on their own. My husband and I decided that for one time in "Our Life" we were going to do something for us. We set out looking for a Motor-Home to purchase, so that we would be able to do some traveling. We wanted to go to Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, places we enjoy so much. We live in Ohio and this seemed to be a big step for us. We love camping and I love the comforts of home, therefore the Motor-Home seemed like a great idea to me. This was in 2001, we got our first Motor-Home and set out taking small two or three day trips in the beginning. We were both still working and could not be gone from our jobs.
The "First" turning point came when, after just a short time, my husband was diagnosed with Degenerative Joint Disease". He had done physical labor all his life and was devastated when the doctor told him he would never work again. You can imagine what our thoughts were. Among the thoughts was; How are we ever going to pay for this Motor-Home now? Then, my son asked if he could move back home with us. He was 33 years old at the time, never been married, but worked away from home in another state. Of Course, I told him he could come home. His job had been transferred to our area. I love my son, dearly and was not going to ask for rent, but my son would have it no other way. He is grown and responsible, he insisted we accept the rent money or he was going to look for a small apartment in our area. This was an answer to our prayers, because his rent money paid for our Motor-Home payments. What a Blessing in disguise, plus I had my son around for a little longer, which we all enjoyed.
My husband and I began camping more and more, we loved it and my son loved having some privacy at home. He never said anything or complained the whole time he was with us, but I knew he needed his own space too. We enjoyed our time together, but also enjoyed the time my husband and I got to travel and see the United States. We traveled in our Motor-Home along with our Golden Retriever for four years. Then we had the biggest turning point hit us both.
The fun was gone, we had to sell our Motor-Home and my husband was diagnosed this time with "Renal Failure". He had been doctoring for Kidney problems, but it was getting so much worse and the doctor sent him to the Hospital. My husband was in Renal
