It's 9:30 p.m. and I'm preparing to give my grandmother her evening meds. But wait! As I pick up the bottle for her heart medication it's empty. I completely forgot to pick up her prescription. I am not alone in this. So many people caring for loved ones get overwhelmed trying to keep track of everything with their own lives that forgetting a refill from time-to-time happens.
But, I'm not worried because I fill all her prescriptions at my neighborhood pharmacy, CVS. The great thing about my local CVS is that it's 24-hours. I can give the pharmacy a call and request a refill. By the time I drive to the pharmacy my prescription is ready and waiting for pick-up. I receive excellent customer service at my neighborhood pharmacy all the time; it doesn't matter if it's day or night and the service doesn't change whether I know the pharmacist or not. The standard of excellence is uniform and targeted toward fostering great relationships with customers.
I encounter courtesy and professionalism every time I visit not only the CVS pharmacy, but the rest of the store's staff. My interactions whether it's on the phone or in person are always satisfying. When there's a problem I am comfortable knowing that the people on staff will work to find out what the issue is and how to resolve it.
One of the things I love about my neighborhood pharmacy is that when my grandmother's doctor prescribes something new I don't have to rush over to the pharmacy to get it filled. From the comfort of my home I can fax the prescription with a time frame of when I would like to pick it up. When I show up the prescription is ready for pick up no problem.
CVS offers an online option as well called Rapid Refill. You'll need to know the store number which can be found on any CVS medication label. You need to enter the store number and up to six refills that you will be able to pick up from your local CVS. There's also a Deliver to Your Door option for new or transfer prescription from another non-CVS pharmacy.
Another great thing I love about my pharmacy is that if there are any questions with the doctor's prescription or if a generic brand is available my pharmacist has no problems picking up the phone to talk with the prescribing physician. I appreciate the initiative and the awareness that some brands are more costly than others which is a huge financial saver for me.
Speaking about savings the CVS pharmacy offers a Health Saving Pass that offers from 5% to 50% discounts on every prescription filled. What's even better is that the "ExtraBucks" saved don't stop there. The CVS store offers countless savings and ExtraBucks that can be used for future purchases. The savings are real and plentiful. I always find ways to save at CVS and get the most for my money. And that's not all you can save, there's even more. Become a CVS Panel Advisor and receive surveys about four times a year. You'll be rewarded with $5, $10 and even $15 ExtraBucks credited to your CVS account. Find out more about this advisory panel at https://www.cvsadvisor.com and join today to begin saving.
I love my neighborhood CVS pharmacy because the staff is friendly and helpful. The hours are flexible and there are great weekly sales. Having the option to multitask by picking up my prescriptions and shopping for other store items I need sealed the deal for me. My neighborhood pharmacy sure knows a lot about Convenience, Value and Service.
