Global warming: Is it as bad as it's made out to be?

Is global warming as bad as it's made out to be? I have been following both sides of this issue for some time and to be perfectly honest, there is compelling evidence on both sides. However, anytime we are faced with something as important as global warming, we should find a middle ground. There is too much evidence to completely deny it, yet there is also ample evidence to suggest that it is not as serious as some would have you believe.

As of March 28, 2008, another massive sheet of ice, which wasn't predicted to collapse for another fifteen years, broke away and plunged into the ocean. The scientists say it is a direct result of global warming and suggest that global warming is worsening.

The greatest argument surrounding global warming seems to be the cause. Some believe that it is caused by greenhouse gases, overpopulation, ravishment of the rainforest, in other words, it was caused by humans. Others believe that global warming is a natural earth cycle and has nothing at all to do with humans. Then there are those who believe it involves a combination of several factors.

Are you wondering what difference it makes as to what is causing global warming? If it is the result of greenhouse gases, the only way to stop it would be for everyone in the whole world to throw away their car keys, which isn't going to happen. People who don't believe that global warming is caused by emissions, are angry that they are being made to feel guilty each time they crank their car. Those who do believe the greenhouse theory are angry that something isn't being done more quickly and are pushing for action to somehow end our dependence on fossil fuel.

Those who believe that global warming is simply a part of normal earth cycles are angry at those they believe are trying to capitalize on the problem by exaggerating the seriousness of it. They believe that some of the experts need grants, or are seeking fame, and therefore heighten the seriousness of the situation.

And to add to all of the arguments associated with global warning, we have a situation brewing in the universe which is now being blamed. It seems that on December 21, 2012, the planets are supposed to line up with the center of milky way, which is supposed to cause massive disruptions on earth. While this is happening, the sun is supposed to be sending out sun flares which could reach earth.

Googling the date, December 21, 2008 will bring up hundreds of articles trying to sell you their latest
