Assessing the responsibility of Israel in the Middle East crisis

The sons of David and Abraham both need to evolve for the sake of our world. Both children have had over 5000 years to settle their petty differences. I guess as a goyim I should mind my own business. Unfortunately, I can't because the never ending conflict is currently ripping my world apart. The Israelis have condemned an entire Palestinian generation to living in camps with no country of their own. The army has on more than one occasion used, what any moral human being would consider, excessive force. The relationship between Israel and the U.S. only antagonizes an already precarious situation. The Middle East is a volatile powder-keg. The Muslims see jihad and Intifada as their only means to express their frustration over their treatment by their Jewish masters.

First, The Israelis have the shortest collective memories in history. Founded only two years after the worst period in Jewish history, they somehow thought it was acceptable to steal land and enslave the native population. In 1941 there were only 474,000 Jews and 1.1 million Muslims. Only 10 years later some 1.2 million Jews displaced 1.172 million Muslims. All those people turned refugee overnight. The Israelis erected tent cities and barbed wire, nauseatingly close to Auschwitz without the ovens. I suppose that is some consolation to the generations who have been born and raised in these camps. Jewish settlements are usually at the forefront of any tragic news items from the region. What happened in the collective mind after the fall of Hitler? Who decided that oppression was acceptable, so soon after the world was nearly engulfed by WW II? The fact that it was done by those just liberated makes the hypocrisy so notable.

Next, The Israeli military is, in my opinion, in a state of overkill. Targeted air strikes from helicopters, state sanctioned assassinations, and civilian casualties pepper news stories from time to time all over the world. During the last Intifada, some 5000 Palestinian civilians were killed against only 444 Israelis for the same period. In their defense, Hamas' firing of blind rockets into Israel surely demands some response. The son of Abraham certainly isn't blameless. Unfortunately however, killing at a 5:1 ratio isn't necessary. Further, targeted assassination would be fine, if it wasn't for all the collateral damage. No sane Israeli can justify the use of political assassination. Has the killing of head leaders in Hamas stemmed the tide of terrorist death? In fact, this
