Bocce ball is an ancient game that has been modified through the ages. This game requires skill, strategy, and even some luck. The game most resembles bowling and is a good outdoor game on a nice day.

START-

1. Playing area- Find a flat level area,packed down dirt, gravel, or grass is fine. A regulation bocce ball court is 76 feet long and 10 feet wide.

2. Make the teams- Split the players into two teams, an even number of players on each team works best. Each team will get four balls and the players on each team will divide the balls equally.

GAME-

1. The first team takes one player and stands them behind the designated line. This player throws the smaller ball towards the opposite end.

2. The same player then throws the bigger ball and tries to get it as close to the small ball as he or she can without touching it.

3. The opposite team then tries to get their ball closer than the starting player could. They continue to try until one of them gets the ball closer. If the second team cannot get it closer then the starting team goes again and tries to do better than their first attempt.

4. If the second team does get the bigger ball closer without using all of their balls then the first team goes again.

5. This continues until all eight of the balls have been used. The team with the closest ball gets one point for each of its balls that are closer to the smaller ball than the other team's closest ball.

6. The frame ends after all the balls are thrown and the scoring team begins the next frame.

TIPS-

1. Play as many frames neccessary for 16 points.

2. If the balls are the same distance then no points are given out.
