A rental car is exactly like any other car. The only difference is you dont own the car. Instead you can only ride it for a day or the time you rented the car. This kind of business has been very popular for many centuries because most people cannot afford expensive transportation or even some basic transportation. Do you remember when the first good cars arrived to the market? I bet you couldn't afford them or even knew anybody that could. Like any other business the quality of the car is only assured by the rental owner. Do you trust him? Or does he only rent low quality cars that are not secure? Its very important to check his credentials or even contact somebody that made business with him in the past. It's very common to find many owners that are there just to make money and that don't care about your security. If you read the newspapers maybe you read something about accidents with such cars. Check the car documents and revisions, as well as criminal history. You dint want to rent a car that has been involved in a serious crime such as an assault. It's common too for criminals to rent cars just to robber banks or any other property. Then they leave the car in the stand and leave like they did nothing and if you use the car the next day, you could be in trouble. Renting a car is also a cheap way of driving some top class vehicles you can't afford now. What about feeling a Ferrari acceleration in the highway or feeling the wind in your face while inside a new Porsche? That the advantage os renting a car. Prices can vary from about 20$ per day up to 500$ per day. It all depends which car you are renting. Sport cars like Mercedes and similar ones are the most expensive. Remember that you must pay the fuel too! You might find some cars too expensive to rent but keep in your mind that the owner has the stand rent to pay, his salary, the car must have insurance, he must periodically check the car security in a professional garage and many other things we probably don't know. So it's no surprise to see such prices. If you can't afford it, travel by bicycle. It's healthier and cheaper. The environment thanks you too.
