When someone is contemplating the purpose of life, it is time to re-evaluate what makes us human.

For most, the day- in and day- out routine of life can at times become monotonous.

Strains and struggles that are often unavoidable throughout life, can at times bring us to a standstill in what we truly believe. It is then that we contemplate what we value in our life.

Understanding is the key to finding purpose in life, of which, we need, to have some understanding of the meaning of life.

Of course, unless you are an alien or have a friend who is an alien, then perhaps you would be more fortunate than most and could possibly know the meaning of life.

Though I guess this would change the scheme of things rather dramatically.

Of course, movie producers would not still be making movies like: Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, or The Meaning of Life by Monty Python, if that were the case.

We all know the song: Always look on the bright side of life. This song re-enforces the necessity to view your life with the purpose for the moment. 

Regardless of whether you are a scientist, a film star, or a housewife; whatever your vocation if life, it does not mean you cannot contribute; to, and understand your world.

To live with purpose;  is to live each day and love each day, the moments that you can, and deal with what else comes your way, this is life.

We all get the cards we are dealt, and then, it is up to you to make your life what you want it to be; for good or bad.

We all need to learn about ourselves and gain an understanding of those around us, including the animal and plant kingdoms. Learning how to help each other, and live in harmony together, gives us purpose in life.

Technology is in a state of constant change, proving that humans can expand their ability to learn, and create advancement in many areas.

Just look at the advancement in medicine.

If it were not for the accidental discovery of penicillin, to start the ball rolling, we would still be no better off than living in the dark ages.

Of course, there will always be circumstances of those born into poverty or neglect is some way. Opportunity is the key to having purpose.

Any contemplation about purpose in your life has to do with understanding, which in turn comes back to being educated, and seeking opportunity.
