I run a great risk by saying this, but it's what I know. Since I was a toddler my father has been playing solitaire on the computer. Good old, three car turn, Klondike, solitaire. This not only sparked an interest in the computer card game but also inspired a surge of tabletop solitaire in my life. At some point it did occur to me that solitaire was almost a mindless game, but I have learned otherwise, and this is one of the reasons that computer solitaire is the best computer game. The possibility of multiple results from one stack of identical cards, in the same order, creates an odd sense of intrigue as one plays. Along with this intrigue, solitaire is a game of patience, playing game after game trying for the win, when really only something like thirty percent of hands are winners, if you're lucky. Life skills, this patience, teaches the player how life works; to some degree. These life skills, and regular talents in the game, along with my family heritage of solitaire adventures, create an array of reasons why solitaire is really the best computer card game. From the entertainment, to the mind-bogglingness, from the family ties, to the simplicity of the game, solitaire truly is, without a doubt, the best card game that anyone can play on his computer.
Other computer card games, such as blackjack or texas hold 'em, do not actually feel like the same game as they are in real life. You can almost tell they are fake, the cards may change when in the deck, and you would have no idea, but solitaire is obviously always the same, its so simple and so straightforward that there can be no computer fluctuations in the game. This is the reason I would advise people to play solitaire at home, and to avoid the online games, and then when you are in person, when you are at the casino, then put away the solitaire and experience some real games as you can watch the cards in front of your face.
Unless you trust the game, unless you trust the computer to be truthful as it dishes out cards and hand, then I would avoid the online card games, and stick with the solo card game. If you really do trust, then I guess go ahead and play whichever casino games that you enjoy most anyways.
