The man of my dreams... He is tall, blonde, and intelligent, yet funny. He is kind, and caring and strong. He loves dogs. He exists. I am lucky to have found the man of my dreams. I knew he was special and wonderful at the start. I had always had the misconception that the man of my dreams would be like the face I dreamed of or whatever. I didn't realize my boyfriend was the man of my dreams immediately, but then I stepped back and considered all of his wonderful qualities.

I had always had a thing about guys with dark hair, so my blonde boyfriend threw me for a loop there. After I realized everything I initially desired in a mate, I had found in him, then I knew he was the man of my dreams. I was honestly afraid of the reality. I never expected to wake up beside the man of my dreams. I loved him, but I had been disappointed before in matters of the heart.

Sometimes it is easy to overlook the qualities that you are looking for. You have to pay attention to small details. I saw my boyfriend helping old ladies reach boxes in grocery stores, and opening doors for older strangers. I saw his strength in ways that weren't obvious. I saw his beauty was more than an exterior benefit. When I really paid attention to his mannerisms and actions I realized everything I wanted was right there.

Yes there is such as a thing as the true man of our dreams. If you become focused on a physical attribute, like dark hair, you might miss out on him! If you are only looking for a man who looks a certain way, you will be disappointed and you probably really have not thought of the true man of your dreams.

My boyfriend has a marvelous physical beauty, but what is on the inside is the true prize. The side of him that is reserved for me, adds to the aspect of his 'perfection', but the kindness he shows to others is what makes me weak in my knees. I am so thankful that I took the time to notice his wonderful qualities. Those things are what I was looking for, and I would have let him slip by had I been focused on the physical attributes. What a shame that would have been, especially over hair color!
