Sometimes I pray for rain
Sometimes I want to feel
The blessed cleansing
Washing over me
As God bathes the land
and renews my soul
Sometimes I want the comfort
Sometimes I want the clarity
Each tender droplet brings
My mind it touches
And cools body and soul
Warming me
Sometimes I want the feeling
Sometimes I need the drum
Of the water
Falling on my skin
A heavenly massage
A secondary baptism
I still love the rain
