Living every day with passion can be a challenge in these complicated, demanding times in which our senses are overloaded with the struggle to earn enough money to keep up with inflation and our hearts are troubled by news of war tragedies. We need to give ourselves time to nurture ourselves and reconnect with our inner child(that part of us which is enchanted with life). Easier said than done is the usual response. One can hardly be expected to be passionate about life after they've busted their butt all day earning their food and shelter.
Yet, when we give ourselves a walk in nature, a bubble bath, a playful time swinging at the park or a long, grounding hug with a beautiful tree we can awaken that eternal joy that is within. We are pure, divine consciousness expressing through our bodies and minds and when we allow ourselves to drop the disturbing monologues and emotions inside ourselves and consciously choose thoughts that bring us happiness we can ignite our inner passion.
Take a long, deep breath and think about what you enjoyed doing the most when you were a child. Remember the excitement and enthusiasm you felt when you engaged in this activity. Recapture that feeling that the world held endless possibilities for you. Feel that youthful energy flowing through your body. And know that you can feel this again by choosing to focus on thoughts and actions that bring you joy.
Set aside two hours a day to do something you enjoy. Maybe it is painting with watercolors or playing the piano. Whatever brings you joy, make time for it. If it means saying "no" to other peoples' requests of you then confidently and firmly tell them "no". Remember that you are the most important person in your life, time is your most valuable resource and you are not obligated to waste it with anyone or anything that does not increase your joy.
Soon, you will wake up looking forward to doing what you love. Your passion for life will increase as you realize that it is not always a struggle. Feel the confidence and enthusiasm surging through you as you reconnect with that source of joy. Maybe it is walking in nature. Whatever it is let yourself experience it fully. Focus on the beautiful colors, really smell the fragrance of flowers, breath deeply into your solar plexus, your power center and feel the ground massage the soles of your feet. Listen to the melodies the birds sing and tell yourself that they are singing for you because you are special. You are.
You can watch your thoughts passing like a silent observer watching fish swim by in an aquarium. Then you can pick and choose your thoughts. Simply drop the thoughts that cause tension and distress and amplify thoughts about what you want. What you focus on expands so think happy thoughts. Think about the things you love to do, the people you love to be with and have positive expectations. Say every morning, "Something wonderful is going to happen to me today". Really believe this and enjoy the excitement. Then watch as good things manifest for you. You are the powerful creator of your own world. You can change your world by changing what you think.
You can wake up every day full of passion and enthusiasm for life. Let yourself focus on what you want and dismiss all thoughts about what you don't want. Tell yourself and show yourself that you love yourself all of the time. Pamper yourself. Let go of any self-criticism and affirm that you are pure, divine energy. God's will for you is complete happiness. Give yourself a big hug and enjoy your day. There's no telling what miracles will come your way.
