Proper eating of marshmallow peeps

The proper way of eating delicious fluffy Easter peeps can be done many ways. Head first, tail first or eyes first have all been the preference of the beholder. Many have wondered if taking precious and delicate bites are best, or possibly eating the whole darn thing in one bite is best if you just can't decide! As for me, I have a different method for each different way of eating a peep. Let me share some fun ways to eat those "left over" peeps from your bountiful Easter baskets.

1. Eat them fresh. Eat them straight out of the package with in days of purchase. This is the traditional way to eat them.
2. Eat them stale. This is a tried and true way to eat peeps, especially if you like to make them last. If you are a chewer or biter, this is the best way to work out your jaw. This is my favorite way to relish a peep.
3. Eat them by color. There are so many selections but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My preference has always been for the original yellow peeps, but I like to color coordinate them with the easter baskets for my children.
4. Freeze them. This method is close to the "stale method" and it is still a great option for the chewer or the biter, but it is a personal preference. I don't like mine cold, but for those of you who like Popsicle peeps, Go for it! They will keep for a really long time.
5. Suck on them. My kids love to suck or lick the sugar off of those cute little peeps. Then they will leave the rest of the mangled body around for a few days and finish them off later.
6. Roast them. This is a new and fun way to eat a peep. It you like a nice caramelized peep with freshly roasted sugar, try it. This is a great way to refresh a stale or frozen peep also. Try them with a graham cracker and piece of chocolate too!
7. Fondue it! Chocolate is great with everything, especially a peep. Try it, you'll like it!
8. Hot Beverage it! Use them as a sweet topper instead of those plain marshmallows.
9. Yam it! Do you have left over yams or sweet potato's? Try recooking them but peep them first. You may want to stock pile them before Easter dinner next year!
10. And the final way to eat a peep would be to Microwave it. Explode it, then eat the fluffy goodness with a fork! Delicious!
