How to become a good sales person

To become a good sales person, you need to enter into a special training program and practice well subsequently. When the selling job is going tough, you need to become strong and sturdy in sales intelligence and expert in selling techniques.

ESSENTIAL GOODS NEED NO SALESMAN:

In general, there is no need for a good sales person to sell essential goods like wheat flour and sugar in a shop located in the crowded market place. People will come to the shop and ask for what they want and buy it with out the sales talk of a person.

NON ESSENTIALS NEED SALESMAN:

All the goods are not essential goods. Some constitute the category of non essentials, but durable products. They need some explanations, clarifications and guidance to reach a stage of final sales point. Here, you will require a good sales person to persuade and lead the potential buyer to enter into a sales sequence.

SALES MECHANISM:

The need for a good sales person becomes quite fundamental in selling non essentials, consumer durables, industrial products and machineries. These are the merchandises which will not get sold automatically; they need a good sales driving mechanism to be handled by a good sales person on the driver's seat.

SALES TRAINING PROGRAM:

To become a good sales person, you could do with a good training program conducted by a standard institute. They will teach and train you the speaking mechanism. You will know the world renowned AIDA principle which has the step by step process to attract the buyers, induce interest in them and create desire to posses the commodity and finally press for the buying action.

THE DEFINITION OF A GOOD SALESMANSHIP IS:

"The sales man ship is the art of stressing the appropriate value of your product or service to fit the individual and varying needs of the different buyers on whom you call."

The METHODOLOGY OF A GOOD SALES PERSON has the following steps:

1. Present yourself with neat appearance, cheerful behavior and pleasant manners to make your first manifestation quite impressive. You need to 'sell yourself' before selling the goods.

2. Present your goods with an idea to explain and clarify the usage and functioning of the product.

3. Present your proposition to speak about the advantages of buying the product.

4. Press for action of the buyer to select the model or size of the product and finally make the payment or sign the agreement to purchase the product in a suitable way.

5. Accepting Objections and how to deal with them' is a special way of clarifying their doubts and making them fall in line with the suggestions.

6. Sometimes, you may have to vary the sequence of the sales presentation to revive their attention.

7. Your explanations and offering benefits will build up good motives for purchase.

8. By repeated practice you will impart finesse to your work of salesmanship including daily plan, tour programs, visiting customers, achieving results and maintaining records.

SUCCESS IN SALES AND BUSINESS ENTERPRISE:

The institute of sales and marketing will give you a good training on the above lines and make you good sales person.

Your sales profession will become a career of success and the business firm will get a good sales turnover and income.
